Early Shells Pre-K Program 2014-2015
Welcome to the World of Early SHELLs!
The Early SHELLs Program is a joint effort between the Roxana School District, the Early SHELLs’ staff, and most importantly, YOU, the parents, to help your child reach his/her potential.
There are two major goals to the Early SHELLs’ Program.
- 1.The program will provide positive learning experiences in a developmentally appropriate program to children who range in age from 3 to 5. Classroom activities are based on developmentally and age appropriate educational practices. Your child will be engaged in activities especially designed for his/her age, interests, and abilities.
- 2.To provide parents of these children with opportunities for growth as individuals and family members.
In order for you to support your child’s learning experience in the Early SHELLs Program, it is important that you share in the activities designed to achieve these goals. Throughout the year, there will be many opportunities for you, as parents, to become involved with your child as he/she begins the first stages of classroom learning. The activities will include attending “Meet the Teacher” night, parent/teacher conferences, parent meetings, parent/child activities, volunteering and visiting the classroom. Research indicates that those children whose parents are actively involved in their child’s learning experiences achieve success. Please feel welcome to visit the classroom at any time!
