Communication
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with people who have difficulties communicating, such as producing sounds, understanding language, using expressive language (“using their words”), thinking and problem solving. Communication is important for interacting with others to share wants, needs and feelings, as well as understanding what is happening in the world around us.
If you have concerns about your child’s speech and or language development, please contact an SLP at your child’s school. We would be happy to talk with you.
Everyone deserves a voice!
I have served the Roxana School District as a Speech-Language Pathologist since 1999. For over 25 years, I have worked with all grade levels (PreK-12), but primarily with PreK through 2nd grade. I have worked with a variety of disorders throughout the years, including phonological processing, articulation, expressive and receptive language delays, and fluency.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from SIUE (1997), and my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from SIUE (1999). I have current ASHA Certification, hold a current Speech Language Pathologist Illinois Professional License, and an Illinois Professional Educator License.
