Community volunteers support an innovative program started by Daniel Sears, Speech-Pathologist Central Elementary.
“Volunteers support the students with their spa products (sugar scrub and lotions) and engage them in warm conversation. At the Spa we talk about the mindset of "paying it forward." We will discuss that if we want to see more kindness in the world then we have a responsibility to put it there. My hope is that the students leave feeling loved and cared for and then will take that good feeling and do something kind for someone else. The program was extremely beneficial in the past, not only for our students, but for our community volunteers,” explains Danielle Sears, Central Speech-Language Pathologist.
