Good morning Shells! Today is Monday, November 6th.

Wrestling season begins today.  Contact Coach Milazzo, Coach Hill, or Coach Kurth if you have any questions.

 

Boys basketball season begins today.  Contact Coach Briggs if you have any questions.

Boys bowling starts their season on Tuesday with a match at Dupo. Please check your email for dismissal and bus times, and schedule updates from Coach Ogle.

Girls bowling also starts this week with practice on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Airport Bowl.

Love to dance? Calling all freshmen through seniors who want to join the dance team for basketball season. Meet Thursday and Friday at 3 pm in the media center.

Our varsity football team has advanced to the 3A quarterfinals for the first time since 1987. They will take on the Stanford Olympia Spartans (9-2). Saturday’s quarter-final game is scheduled for 2 pm and will be played at Stanford Olympia High School.

There will be a high school student fan bus traveling to Stanford Olympia High School on Saturday, Nov. 11th. Thanks to the Roxana Booster Club, there is no charge to ride the bus and the Booster Club will pay for your ticket into the game! You will need to bring money for food and anything else you might want to buy.  Please check your email for the sign-up form. The form is Due November 9 @ noon. The bus will leave the high school parking lot at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. We need at least 25 students to sign up to ride the fan bus. If you are thinking about going to the game, this is the best way for students. 


If you are interested in an All Inclusive New York Experience in June of 2025 come to an informational meeting in the Auditorium at 2 PM to get an invite to the online sign up meeting with World Classroom.  If you miss the meeting, get an invite from Ms. Witt. The trip will be an adventure filled trip with Ms. Witt  and the World Classroom experts. The trip will take place June 10-11, 2025.

Congratulations to Coach Scamihorn and our boys and girls cross country teams. The girls had two state qualifiers, and the boys were regional champs and all ran well at State against the best competition in Illinois. 

The Fall Play, Alice in Wonderland, debuts this week at RHS. Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week. Friday and Saturday’s performances begin at 7:00 and Sunday November 12th the curtain drops at 2:00pm. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for children.
