Daily Announcements

Good morning Shells! Today is Friday, April 5th, 2024.

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Prom is coming up on May 4th.

Prom Guest Forms are now available in the Main Office. All forms must be completed and turned back into the Main Office by Tuesday, April 30th before 3:30pm. Forms will not be accepted after April 30th.

If you are a student on Social Probation and want to attend Prom, you will need to turn in a contract to Mr. Dandurand or Mr. Miller prior to the deadline.

After Prom Tickets will be on sale during lunch hours in the Commons, beginning April 2nd-April 5th, then again on April 15th-April 18th. Tickets are $20 per person. This is the only time these tickets will be sold, so make sure to get yours!  (Please repeat daily through April 18th)

Ms. Hanneken is collecting plastic grocery bags until April 12, 2024 as part the the Green Schools Fantastic Plastic Contest.  The school that collects the most plastic bags wins $300.00.  Please help us keep plastic bags out of the landfills and provide potentially funding for the Biology II sustainability projects.

Mr. Scamihorn wanted to let everyone know that this year’s March Mammal Madness Champion was the Great White Shark!

This year’s bracket winners were:

Student Champion: Dominic Coons with 116 points

Staff Champion: Ms. Snyder with 81 points

Child of staff champion: Colin Hansen with 111 points

Thank you to all who participated in this year’s tournament. We are already looking forward to next year’s madness.

On Monday, we will be in the path of a near total eclipse. This is a rare occasion and an exciting learning opportunity for us all. To protect students and staff, we have acquired eclipse viewing glasses for all students, faculty, and staff.

We are looking for a student who is interested in being our mascot, Shelldon, next school year at football games, pep assemblies, and other school events. If you are at all interested in being in the mascot suit next year, please see Mrs. Palen, Mr. Briggs, or Mr. Miller for more information.

Make it a great day, Shells!
