Update on the sneaker recycling competition. Seniors are in the lead with 4 pairs of sneakers! Let’s see if the other classes can beat the seniors by bringing their old tennis shoes and recycle them in the bins near Ms. Hanneken’s room.
Science Club will meet next Tuesday after school in Ms. Hanneken’s room to discuss the homecoming parade. We are also encouraging all students and staff to vote on the best animal and plant photograph in the Student Center today. Winners will be announced on Tuesday.
Attention Juniors: We will be offering an opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 8th at 8am to any student who would like to take it. The cost is $13, and you can sign up and pay in the guidance office. For more information, please see Mrs. Garrison or Mrs. Hansen.
Are you interested in competing in eSports this year but missed the meeting yesterday? There will be another e-sports meeting on Tuesday for those who want to play e-sports where you will compete against other schools in games like Super Smash Brothers, Fortnite and others. The meeting will be today after school in the Journalism classroom. That’s Room A203.
Memberships for The Reef 2025–2026 are available now! Membership is $10 and includes entry to all home games for the year. Check your email for the sign-up link. Deadline is next Friday, September 5th.
Friday night will be the first home Football game of the season, and the theme is Hawaiian! Wear your brightest island gear and bring the energy to the stands.
Homecoming Guest Forms are now available in the Main Office. Forms need to be turned in to the Main Office by 3:00pm on Wednesday, September 17th. Guest Forms require a photo ID and the signature of the guest’s principal, so do not wait until the last couple of days. Again, Guest Forms for Homecoming are due September 17th.
For any girls interested in playing softball next spring, there will be a meeting during Connect Wednesday in Coach Brannon’s classroom.
Today we will have a pep rally at 2:00pm. That means we will be using our Assembly Bell Schedule today. We will have all 7 classes but with shortened times. All students were emailed the schedule this morning and if you have questions during the day, please ask a teacher or staff member.
At 1:30, students will go to their Advisory class. Around 2:00pm the pep rally will begin in Larry Milazzo Gym.
