Daily Announcements

Good morning Shells! Today is Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

The ROX Gallery is thrilled to announce the winners of our inaugural College Application Essay Competition 2025!

Winner: Sidney Ufert – "Flight Interrupted"
Honorable Mentions:

  • Grace Hendricks – "More than Survival"

  • Tony Carmack – "The Café De Shell"

We invite all students to stop by the ROX Gallery in the Student Center to read these inspiring essays and celebrate the creativity and talent of your peers.

Thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations again to our winners! We’d like to have Sidney, Grace, and Tony head to the ROX gallery at this time for a photo.

(Through Thursday, 10/2/25) It’s time to buzz into action—the Scholastic Bowl season is here! We’re looking for sharp minds and quick thinkers to join the team. From history to pop culture, science to literature, there’s a question for everyone—so don’t miss your chance to flex those trivia muscles. If interested, stop by or email Ms. Robins to sign up!

The boys' golf team qualified two golfers for Monday's sectionals at Effingham. Will Stevens captured a fourth-place finish with a 76 and Myles Bertoletti qualified with an 83 after a victorious playoff hole at Governor's Run at the Carlyle regionals. Connor Anderson narrowly missed a sectional birth with an 87. Congratulations to all three of these athletes!
