Jostens Assemblies - 8-9 AM (Aud.) 10th & 12th grade PA announcement will be made this morning to release the grade level to the aud to meet with Mr. Lawrence from Jostens:
1st Period - Seniors
2nd Period - Sophomores
Any 10th, 11th or 12th grader who wants to explore options within the military should sign up to take the ASVAB test on November 13th in the CoLab Room. Interested students need to sign up in the guidance office and submit the permission form by Friday, October 31st. See Mrs. Garrison or Mrs. Hansen for more information.
Seniors, it’s that time of the year to fill out your senior section of the yearbook! You should have received the Senior Section Google Form in your email this morning. Please let Mrs. Schrewe know if you have any questions. Senior Forms are due December 12th! Even if you don’t have your senior picture taken, please fill out the form now and then upload your picture later.
Ms. Snyder is asking all students, not just those in Spanish classes, to help create a school-wide Day of the Dead altar. The altar will include photos of loved people and pets who have passed on. Bring or email photos to Ms. Snyder before October 24 to honor our loved ones in the ROX gallery for Day of the Dead.
On October 22, schools nationwide will wear orange to stand against bullying and promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. The Student Council invites all students and staff to wear ORANGE on Wednesday and show your support- let's build community, one act of kindness at a time!
The Student Council invites you to join the Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest! You can win a gift card, have your artwork displayed in the student gallery, and help promote a drug free message. For more information check out the posters hanging around the school or ask Mrs. Lish for details. All posters must be submitted by Friday, October 24.
Scholastic Bowl will have a brief informational meeting today, Monday, October 20 after school in Ms. Robins' room. Our first official practice will be on Thursday, October 30.
Sign ups for this year's wrestling team have begun. If you are interested, stop by Coach Hill's room in A 105 or Coach Milazzo's room in room 202 to sign up.
Congratulations to our boys AND girls cross country teams who won the Cahokia Conference championship on Saturday at Belk Park. Special shout outs to Gianna Stassi for being the conference champion and to Nova Shaw (2nd), Anthony Hardin (2nd), Easton Johnston (5th), & Noah Crump (9th) for earning all-conference honors!
