Daily Announcements

Good morning Shells! Today is Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Tomorrow is the last day of Red Ribbon Week and it is: Boo to drugs - wear you Halloween costume, but no masks or face paint please.

Any 10th, 11th or 12th grader who wants to explore options within the military should sign up to take the ASVAB test on November 13th in the CoLab Room.  Interested students need to sign up in the guidance office and submit the permission form by Friday, October 31st.  See Mrs. Garrison or Mrs. Hansen for more information.

Seniors, it’s that time of the year to fill out your senior section of the yearbook! You should have received the Senior Section Google Form in your email this morning. Please let Mrs. Schrewe know if you have any questions. Senior Forms are due December 12th! Even if you don’t have your senior picture taken, please fill out the form now and then upload your picture later.

All girls planning on playing basketball this year, we will have open gym on Wednesday October 29th and Friday October 31st in the aux gym from 3:00-4:00 each day. The first day of practice will be Monday November 3rd at 3:00pm. Make sure all players have signed up before the season. If you have any questions please contact coach Arb.

We will have a pep rally on Friday to celebrate the successes of our fall activities, including the opening of the Fall play, cross country success, and football playoffs. The pep rally will begin at 2:00pm on Friday and we will run the Wednesday schedule on Friday.

There will be pep bus for students to attend the first round playoff game Saturday in West Frankfort. Thanks to a generous donation from the Booster Club, there will be no charge for any RHS student to ride the bus and attend the game. It will be free to ride the bus and attend the game. You must sign up by noon on Friday. You will need to bring money for concessions, but otherwise this is a great opportunity to support the Shells on Saturday at West Frankfort.

A message regarding the Shell Cafe: Make sure you exit the north student center doors and return to the Commons after making purchases during lunch. You may not hang out in the Cafe or the Student Center.
