Good morning Shells! Today is Friday, September 11, 2026.  

 

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence. 

  

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.  

About this time of day 25 years ago, the United States, the world, and so many lives changed forever as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 that resulted in the loss of nearly 3,000 lives in New York City, Washington, DC, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and the many lives lost of first responders in the years to come who suffered from  injuries and illnesses in the aftermath  During our moment of silence today, please take a moment to remember and honor those who lost their lives, their families who lost a loved one and to honor the First Responders who risked their lives running into burning buildings to save anyone they could.

Seniors, the ROX yearbook staff wants your information! It’s time to pack the senior section of the yearbook! A google form was sent to your email today. You have until October 30th to complete the form. Let Mrs. Schrewe know if you have any questions.

Roxana volleyball defeated East Alton-Wood River in straight sets, 25–10 and 25–15. Josie Brannon and Peyton Cincoski led the Shells with five kills each, while Hope Stewart-Sperry added four. Mia Skinner recorded 16 assists, Addison Boyer led the defense with three digs and Karsyn Kamp delivered a team-high 16 service points. Great job, Shells!

REEF Memberships are now available for purchase. A one-time payment of $10 gets you into all home sporting events. There is a QR code located outside of Ms.Kamp’s room for online payments, or cash payments of $10 can be given to Ms. Kamp. Today is the last day to purchase!

FCA will meet next Wednesday, September 16th at 7am in the Colab Room. All are welcome! 

There will be a meeting for any students interested in bowling this year on Monday, September 14th after school. If you are interested in bowling, please come to the meeting in the Small Gym.

Students, please listen up: When the school days is over you must leave campus or go to a designated area. You may NOT go into the Junior High and visit teachers or students at the Junior High. 

ROX STARS: The following students received recognition as a ROX STAR recently. If you receive a ROX STAR Nomination, please come to the office this morning to pick up a ticket for a free item from the Cafe:

  • Vanessa Mourning helping with Ms, Hanneken’s earth science class-alien.
