Homecoming Week continues today with Anything But a Backpack and an important announcement. Due to the weather forecast for Friday, we have decided to change the Homecoming games to Thursday. That means you will be wearing your class color shirts on Thursday. Generations day will now be on Friday.
If you want to participate in Thursday’s Homecoming Games, sign up outside your Class Sponsor’s door! You must sign your own name! Each person is only allowed to participate in ONE game so we can get as many actively involved as possible. This year’s games are

Tug of War, sponsored by the Sophomore Class
Rapunzel Relay, sponsored by the Junior Class
Sack Race, sponsored by the Freshman Class
Homecoming tickets are on sale during lunch periods in the Commons today. The cost is $12.00 for the Coronation and Dance. Only cash and checks will be accepted.
If you have not already done so, please pick up your Class shirt from your class sponsor before school, after school, or during passing periods.
Homecoming Guest Forms are now available in the Main Office. These are due on September 30th at 3:15. These forms require the signature of your guest’s school principal and family, so do not wait until the last day.
There will be Homecoming specials in the Shell Station this week:
On Friday all brownies will be one dollar.
Hot dogs are back and Rice Krispie Treats are a new item.
Students may guess the score of the football game on Friday and the winner gets a free item from the Shell Station and a surprise gift.
Roxana volleyball defeated Southwestern in straight sets, 25–17 and 25–13. Josie Brannon led the Shells with five kills, while Addison Boyer and Peyton Cincoski added four each. Mia Skinner recorded 15 assists, Sophia Powers led the defense with 10 digs, and Hope Stewart-Sperry and Kylah Brown each had two blocks. Boyer also led the team with 10 service points. Great job, Shells!
Lady shells golf team finished the season with a 16-9 record. Mikaela Murphy was the medalist with a 43!
Over the weekend, our Cross Country program had an amazing day at the Freeburg Invite with a total of 18 PRs!
Our Varsity Boys brought home a plaque placing 3rd with every runner medaling: Noah Crump (3rd), Easton Johnston (14th), Rylan Bisby (19th), Conrad Heigert (27th), Chrishawn Sewell (43rd), & Joshua Ervin (48th).
Our Varsity Girls placed 6th with Gianna Stassi (4th), Elizabeth Clouse (27th), & Savannah Cline (39th) earning medals.
JV Boys earned a plaque placing 2nd overall with Conner Price (7th), Colt Doyle (13th), Eimaj Murrell (16th), Alessandro Vazquez (18th), Jordin Akileh (19th), & Angel Santiago (20th) medaling.
Girls basketball will have a meeting on September 30th at 1:30pm. You will meet in the Small Gym and then go to the locker room.
Juniors who received the Riverbend East Rotary Scholarship Application - They are due tomorrow, Sept. 30th by 3pm to the guidance office. Late applications will not be accepted.
The Art club will NOT meet this week but will be back the following Thursday instead.
