Important Reminder: Wednesday Advisory Bell Schedule
This is an important reminder and refresher about our Wednesday Advisory Bell Schedule at Roxana Senior High School. All Wednesdays are regular school days and run through 2:40 p.m. Our Wednesday schedule is designed to provide meaningful opportunities for students to build relationships, feel connected to our school community, and receive the academic support they need to be successful.
The first Wednesday of each month is Connect Wednesday, when students have the opportunity to meet with their club, team, organization, or activity. These experiences help foster a sense of belonging and strengthen student-staff and peer relationships. On all other Wednesdays, students participate in Wednesday Shell Advisory focused on Academic Support. Students who need additional academic assistance, request support, or would benefit from a ReDo/Retake will use the 1:35–2:40 p.m. Advisory time to receive personalized support from teachers. Students who are passing all classes, do not need academic intervention, and are not on Social Probation may be dismissed at 1:35 p.m.
It is important to emphasize that staying for academic support is not a punishment or consequence. It is an opportunity for students to receive additional time, instruction, encouragement, and support to help them experience success. Students receive timely communication each week regarding their status and whether they are expected to remain for academic support. If you ever have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teachers via email or contact the RHS Main Office. Thank you for partnering with us to support the success of every Shell! GO SHELLS!
Yours in Education,
