A Day
Our RJHS Choir and Band students had a great day at the Solo and Ensemble contest on Saturday!
The following band members qualified for State: Leo Martin-Snare Drum Solo, Bennett Luck- Tenor Sax Solo, Savannah Cline- Alto Sax Solo, Kai McClusky- Alto Sax Solo, Cayden Lacher- French Horn Solo, Elizabeth Vazquez- Trumpet Solo, Bella Smith- Bell Solor and Mixed Duet, Tori Wood- Flute Solo and Mixed Duet, Jordyn Brown- Flute Solo, Dro Vazquez- Flute Solo, Aubrey Woolsey- Flute Solo, Ethan Branch- Tuba Solo, Falynn Doolen- Trombone Solo.
Three of those students earned a Superior rating, which is a perfect score. They are:
Bella Smith- Bell Solo
Aubrey Woolsey- Flute Solo
Ethan Branch- Tuba Solo
Overall, our band earned 28 medals, had three superior ratings, and 15 state qualifying performances. We are so proud of everyone who performed. And, we want to give a special thanks to Mrs. Sabaj for all of her hours of hard work and dedication as well!
Our choir is also sending 15 students to State for earning an excellent rating on their solo performances. Those students are: Emma Bickell, Phoenix Brady, Dylon Colclasure, Lenn Doolen, Aubrie Friederich, Willow Gross, Elanor Hansberger, Abby Mackelden, Emily Oliver, Brooke Pauley, Nova Shaw, Allie Sinks, Isaiah Walker, Kai Welborn, and Kaylynn Williams
