The 7th and 8th grade girls basketball coaches will be here today. They would like to meet with any 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls, who would like to play basketball, during advisory. These meetings will be in the board office- located right next to the junior high office. Check in with your advisory teacher before going to the meeting.
Come represent your house in the homecoming parade on September 18th! Show your house pride by walking with us and earn 50 house points. You must wear your house shirt on the day of the parade. The lineup is behind the Jr. high at 5:00pm. A Google Form has been emailed to all students and staff-please fill it out if you plan on joining us!
There will be a yearbook meeting Monday, September 8th in Mrs. Jones room after school. You will need to make arrangements to be picked up from school at 3:30. This is a very important meeting and we will be making a lot of decisions for the year. If you are unable to attend you need to email Mrs. Jones and explain why you cannot be present.
If you are still interested in joining Student Council, Student Council information packets and Student Council Officer Applications can be picked up in Mrs. Russell's room. Sign up signature pages from the information packets must be turned in to Mrs. Russell or Mrs. Jones on later than Thursday, September 11th. Membership will no longer be open for current students after that time. Officer applications are due to Mrs. Russell or Mrs. Jones no later than Friday, September 12th. No officer applications will be accepted after that time.

The RJHS Cross Country team is off to a strong start this season. Our runners have started the season with impressive performances.
On Saturday we ran at Mascoutah every one of our athletes ran their personal best. Our top 3 girls were 7th graders Pika Blaas-Miller and Cassidy Gehrs and 8th grader Elizabeth Vazquez. Our top three boys were 7th graders Camden Norsigian, Xander Carstens and Chase Pride.
At the Carlinville Invite yesterday our top runners for boys were 7th graders Chase Pride and Jayden Herder, 8th grader Camden Johnston, and an impressive showing by 5th grader Eddie Pride. Our top 3 girls are Cassidy Gehrs, Pika Blas-Miller and Elizabeth Vazquez. Great job team.
