Announcement

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Heffren.

After our 1st day of our Dimes for Donuts fundraiser, in 1st place is Mr. Stark’s class, in 2nd place is Mrs. Eberlin’s class and in 3rd place is Mrs. Pluester’s class. The fundraiser goes through Thursday so you still have time to bring in your money! Teachers, please send any money you have received to the office.

If you signed up to be part of the fundraiser to pay for your yearbook, the order forms are in. Please see Mrs. Jones to get one. You have to sell at least 5 items to pay for your yearbook. Money and order forms are due back to Mrs. Jones on October 24. Late order forms will not be accepted. This is a cash only fundraiser and the money is due upon ordering.

There will be a yearbook meeting in Mrs. Jones' room Wednesday after school. Please make arrangements to be picked up at 3:30.

This past weekend the Cross Country team travelled to Jacksonville, IL where we ran along 24 other schools. Your junior high athletes had another great run on this 1.9 mile course. The following athletes earned a new PR: 6th Graders: Isaac Albers ran a 15:08, Stormie Chavez at 15:23 and Jaryn Donohoo at 16:41, running 39 seconds faster than her previous record.7th Grader Pika Blas-Miller ran an impressive 13:31. Pika missed earning a medal by merely 1 second! 8th Graders: Camden Johnston at 14:25, Sebastian Louvier at 13:59 and Gavin Powers at 15:03, beating his previous PR by 29 seconds.

There is a mandatory meeting for ALL Cross Country athletes after school today, meaning EVERYONE will need to attend. This Wednesday after school we will have our team photo taken for the yearbook.

Junior High Boys Basketball will have open gyms this week on Tuesday, October 7th and Wednesday, October 8th from 3:00–4:30pm in the Junior High Gym and on Thursday, October 9th from 3:15–4:30pm in the Central Gym.
