It’s day two of Respect Week, and today we’re learning about Microcephaly (say: my-crow-SEF-uh-lee), a condition where a baby’s head is smaller than expected due to limited brain growth. Facts: It can lead to learning delays, movement challenges, or seizures. Causes include genetics, infections during pregnancy, or exposure to harmful substances. While there’s no cure, early therapies can help children grow and thrive. Everyone with Microcephaly deserves respect, support, and friendship—just like anyone else. Let’s keep building a kind and inclusive school. Have a wonderful Wednesday! Unified Facts of the Day: ▪ Over 5.7 million Special Olympics athletes participate with Special Olympics worldwide. ▪ More than 30 Unified sports are offered across the world ▪ 18 Olympics style sports are pared through Special Olympics Illinois and 13 of them have Unified divisions

Tomorrow is dress like a cow day- wear black and white or go all out! MOOOOOOO

"Don't miss the adventure! Remember to come and have breakfast. Fuel your brain, so that you are ready to learn!" Tomorrow’s breakfast is Scrambled Eggs with Sausage link and toast.
