Attention track athletes. Practice today will be indoors. After you are dismissed from school, immediately get changed into your practice clothes and meet in the hallway outside your junior high locker room doors. If you are interested in being part of our track team there is still time! Have your parents register you as soon as possible so you can participate in practice this week and be ready for our first meet. Congratulations to the band and choir students who participated in the IGSMA State Solo and Ensemble Contest at Coolidge Junior High on Saturday. The Roxana Choir and Band Students earned 5 "Superior" medals and 24 “Excellent" medals at the contest.
Beginning today Mrs. Powers’ class will be hosting a drive to support the Community Hope Center. Her class recently volunteered there and noticed they are currently very low on personal care and paper products such as deodorant, soaps, shampoos, toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, napkins and more. To encourage participation, each student who donates will be able to fill out a slip with their name and school. At the end of the drive, she will draw three names to receive a gift card as a thank you for supporting this effort.
