We want to give a massive round of applause to everyone who participated in Mrs. Pluester’s March Madness Reading Challenge. After four weeks of hard work and dedicated reading at home, the results are in! Last week alone, this group of literacy legends logged over 1,700 minutes. Let's hear it for our winning team: Drew Kennett, Hadley Militello, Cora Harsy, Alaina Williams, Mia Balcom and Stormie Chavez. We also have a very special "MVP" shout-out this morning. One student went above and beyond, reading an incredible 2,855 minutes all by herself during the challenge. A huge congratulations to our Reading MVP: Stormie Chavez!
Students: IAR State testing will be Wednesday April 8th, Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th. Your attendance on those days is very important. We are offering an incentive for perfect attendance. If you have perfect attendance all 3 days, you will be entered to win a Visa Gift Card! You must be here on time and for all the tests to be entered into this drawing.
Teachers will be giving you 5 House points for each test that you take IF you exhibit good testing behavior. They are looking for things like: did you take your time and use the time given to you, did you answer all the questions, did you remain quiet so you were not a distraction to your fellow classmates. If you get all 25 points, your name will be entered in a drawing for gift cards to places like: Taco Bell, Sonic, Amazon, and Target.
