Big shout out to Miss Heffren‘s eighth grade science classes from our Sub, Mrs. Bacus yesterday:
I came into sub today for Mrs. Heffren after dealing with my 98-year-old father being unexpectedly sent to the emergency room the night before. I let the students in each class know that I may be having to make phone calls or taking phone calls that had to do with the care of my father. I apologized to them ahead of time in case it was disruptive to their learning. I did indeed take two phone calls from doctors and made a phone call and several texts. Every class was respectful and quiet and kept working. I so much appreciated the care that they showed me. What wonderful students we have at Roxana junior high. I am so happy to sub here. Thank you so much! Mrs. Bacus.
Just a reminder that the library will be closed today, Mrs. Schulz is not here.
In order to join Student Council, you must turn in the permission slip that was at the end of your packet by Friday, September 18th to Mrs. Jones. Packets can still be picked up from Mrs. Russell if you are interested in joining. Officer Applications are also due by Friday, September 18th to Mrs. Jones.
