Announcements 10/26/26

Today we have Monroe Pointer from 6th grade here to read the announcements:

Tonight's yearbook photo takers are Scar Hand and Jaryn Donohoo.  You will need to be at the game from 3:30 to 5 to take photos.  Please see Mrs. Jones today if you need to check out cameras.

There will be a yearbook meeting this Wednesday, October 28th in Mrs. Jones room.  We will be finished at 3:30.

Lady Shells battle it out with Alton today at 3:30 for 7th graders and 4:30 for 8th graders. Students are free! Stay with Mrs. Turner if you are not able to get a ride back to school for the game.

Today begins our celebration of Red Ribbon Week.  Red Ribbon Week provides us with a time to renew our commitment to remain drug free.  Today at recess, or sometime this week in the morning when you arrive at school, please ask one of the principals for a marker to sign our banner by the gym entrance to show your commitment to remaining drug free.

Coloring Contest Entry Forms will be delivered to your homeroom this morning.  If you plan to participate in the coloring contest, please make sure you fill out the information on the back of the picture.  All entries must be turned in to Mrs. Russell by Friday, October 30th.  There will be one winner at each grade level.  Each winner will receive a $25 gift card to Five Below.

Don't forget to be thinking about who your hero is, because Wednesday is our dress up day to dress as your favorite hero.  Make a difference.  Be a hero.  Stay drug free.

This week we are hosting our 3rd annual Pack the Police Car Food Drive! This is a homeroom competition. Every item brought in counts for your homeroom! You will also receive 5 house points when you bring in a donation.  Bring in a donation every day, that's up to 25 house points!  A police car will be parked out front to collect donations and our goal is to fill it up with food for families in our community. Several lucky students will get a chance to ride in the police car the day of the donation drop off!
